

He was born February 4, 1932, in Warren County, Indiana to the late Benjamin B. and Eloise J. (Grolo) Nydegger. On October 20, 1957, he married Betty J. Barnes in Stockwell, Indiana. Jack was known as "Jack of all trades" because he was mostly self-employed and worked various jobs as a mechanic, heavy equipment operator, plumber, electrician, and home remodeler. Jack was a veteran who served two years in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, cruising, and visiting with family and friends. He was a caring husband and father who instilled good behavior in his children and any youngsters he knew. He always helped someone in need. He and his family moved from Indiana to Bradenton, Florida in 1979.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, daughters, son, and grandson of Bradenton, Florida, Lori A. Johnson, Lisa S. Nemeth, Benjamin L. Nydegger, and Daniel G. Johnson; daughter of Channel View, Texas, Judy D. Newkirk; and sister of Spring Hill, Florida, Carolyn Johnson.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Nydegger; and sisters, Ellie Cox, Nancy Balser, Connie Twiggs.
Memorial contributions in Jack’s name may be given to Seva Foundation, Foundation Fighting Blindness, or a charity of choice, or donate a unit of blood in his honor at a blood bank.
