John served in the Air Force during Vietnam as a medic.
He was an avid traveler, passionate jeweler and gold miner, hard working man, loyal friend, and most importantly a wonderful father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind four daughters, Jackie Johnson (Pierce), Johnnie Rodgers (John), Tabatha Reed (Kevin), and Crystal Reliford (Devin); three step children, Donna Hedges, Charles Reibold, and Melodie Ibarra; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Rebecca Grumbley; his stepson, Billy Reibold; his grandsons, Benjamin Magee, David Harrell, and Jeremy Rodgers.
A celebration of life for John will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 5831 15th St E., Bradenton, Florida 34203.
