Born Nov. 24, 1934, in Westfield, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Pillo. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Maria.
Mrs. Neuer was a lifelong member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church and worked as the church secretary for over 25 years. She volunteered at Gocio Elementary School for 10 years, working with the children as a tutor and mentor, having won volunteer of the year several times. She was also a member of the Ladies Guild and of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her four children, Teresa (Scott) Mills, of SC, Debbie (Ed) Jordan, of Clermont, FL, Laura (Chuck) Danna, of Bradenton, and Woody (Beth) Neuer, of GA; her brother, Wayne (Sue) Melton, of NC, her sister, Betty Ann Savard of Sarasota and 13 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Manasota Funeral Home.
A funeral will be conducted at 3pm following the visitation at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow at Manasota Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gocio Elementary School.
