
June Parker Watson went home with her Savior Jan.9th, 2017. Celebration of her life will be Tuesday, Jan. 31st, First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton, with 1:00pm visitation followed by service at 2pm and internment at Skyway Memorial Gardens.
Native of Bradenton born in 1925, June was foremost an artist. She was a loving youthful soul inspiring us all. Music was another love, as well as being a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, where she played handbells, sang in the choir and played string trios with her sisters before Vesper Services. She was a member of the Florida West Coast Symphony where she played viola and Lifetime member of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida. She was a longtime member of Manatee County Art League and Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic. June owned "The Clay Barn" ceramic studio and also taught ceramics for Manatee County Boys Club.
June is survived by daughters, Yvonne Rivers Bedell and Melody Rivers Porter (Stephen), Granddaughters Shalene Bedell Frisch (William) and Danielle Porter Koury (Byron), Great-Granddaughter Vivienne Mae Frisch, Nephew Lou Parker (Katie), Nieces Barbara Wirtz Tyler and Naomi McDowell (Larry), Grand-Niece Teryl Curry, Grand-Nephew Bryan Curry and additional loving family.
