Lena Morone

Lena Morone, age 89, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Lena was born in Roselle, New Jersey, on October 1, 1930. This is where she met her late husband of 60 years, Ernest Morone. Ernest and Lena were married in 1951, while Ernest was serving in the Koren War. Together they raised three sons in Elizabeth New Jersey, Tommy, Jimmy, and Alan. In 1972 the family moved to Branch Burg New Jersey, then relocated to Bradenton, Florida, where Lena made many friends.

Lena often enjoyed seeing plays at the theater, bowling in a league, and going out with members of the Italian Club.

Lena is survived by; her three sons Tommy Morone and wife Jean, Jimmy Morone and wife Debbie, and son Alan Morone and wife Doreen; her brother Steven Rizzo of Berkley Heights, New Jersey, and sister Rose Smith of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Michelle Maddock, Ernest Morone, Katie Santana, Nicholas Morone, Catherine Morone, Danielle Waters; and her five great-greatgrandchildren, Vada, Andrew, Ava, Raynaldo and Juliana.

Lena was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Morone, father Steve Rizzo, and mother, Maria Rizzo.
