Linda L. Whitson, 72, passed away July 3, 2015 in Florida. She was born May 7, 1943 in Lexington to the late Perry Delmer and Laurel Hinton Hopkins. She had worked as a bakery clerk for Kroger. She is survived by her children, Teresa Rivera of Florida and William Scott Whitson of Ohio; grandchildren, Ashley Whitson and Jerry Whitson; 3 great grandsons; brother, Perry Hopkins of Georgia; sisters, Diana Sumpter of Cynthiana, Susan Cross of Maryland, Dona Folstad of Idaho, and Barbara Goodwin of Florida. She was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Faye Cannon.
Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with the family giving the eulogy. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9am Saturday at the funeral home.
