Mary Ann Schroeder

Mary Ann Schroeder was a devoted mother/Nana/aunt and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 4, 2022, at age 76. Her recent battle with medical issues showed her courage in facing life's challenges with determination and a smile.

Mary Ann was born in Massachusetts on Oct 2, 1945 to Kenneth and Irene Lavers. After high school, she and several close friends raised their children together, ensuring us a lifetime of cherished memories of skiing, skating, camping and weekly trips to the beach.

She is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Kenneth. Mary Ann and Kenneth's wife, Valerie along with her nephew and niece, Michael and Rebecca continued to carry on their annual apple picking and coffee at Dunks or ice cream at Friendly's.

Mary Ann moved to Florida in 1993 to be closer to the grandchildren she adored. She loved cats, traveling to visit family and friends, scouring thrift stores, dabbling with a writing hobby and attending baseball games-especially if one of her grandkids were playing.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristen and her husband, Eddie; her son, John and his wife, Jody. Mary Ann was a proud Nana to William and Caitlin, Troy and Corrina, Alexis and Sean, Dakotah, John and Andrew; and Nana+ to Lilyann.

A Celebration of Life will be held Mon, May 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm with a service at 6:30 pm, at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, Fl, 34203, her final resting place.
