Mickey graduated from Southeast High School in 1975 and worked various jobs until he decided to attend classes at the vocational school to learn radio and television repair. A little later Mickey took business education classes in order to prepare for a career in business administration. Mickey’s last employer was Suncoast Credit Union where he worked in the credit card claims department.
One of Mickey’s favorite hobbies was gardening and landscaping. But Mickey’s passion was the teaching of the Word of God. Mickey also wrote and delivered sermons and led singing and prayer in the praise and worship of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mickey attended the citrus Park Church of Christ in Tampa, FL.
He is survived by his loving father Joseph “Hank” Martin and his 2nd mother of 18 years Nellie Martin. Mickey is also survived by his sister, Rusti Ann Steverson, brother –in –law Delmer Steverson, his niece Valerie Ann Clark, nephew –in-law Tracy Clark, great nieces Katie Clark and Ashley clark, his nephew David Steverson and great niece, Cinthia Steverson. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty Ann Childers Martin who passed from this life in 1999.
