Myra was born on January 25th, 1943. She was born to Hilary and Helena (Dul) Pawelec
in Gizyce, Poland.
Myra married the love of her life and immigrated to the United States at the age of
17. Having settled in Utica, NY, she and her husband, Walter Sikora, were always
surrounded by good friends and loved to entertain. It was impossible to leave
Myra’s house without a full stomach. She took pride in her Polish heritage and was
an active member of the White Eagle Association of Utica, NY. In 2009, Myra moved
to Bradenton, FL to be closer to family.
Myra is survived by her sister Jadwiga Anysz; brother, Stanley Pawelec (Elizabeth);
nieces and nephews, Ewa Anysz, Zbigniew Anysz (Brenda), Diane Targosz (Tomasz),
Renea McGuire (Timothy), and Chris Pawelec (Kasia) as well as her beloved great
nieces and nephew Taelor Targosz, Sawyer Targosz, Olivia Targosz and Zosia Pawelec.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be an 11:30 am funeral mass on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Our Lady of
The Angels Catholic Church, 12905 State Road 70 E, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202.
Burial will follow at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton.
