
Nancy Jo Rios (Pinkerton) Born on November 05, 1940, in Hammond, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on April 6, 2026, in Bradenton, Fl. Nancy was a beloved Significant Other of 30yrs, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and Friend.
A proud graduate of Hammond High School of 1958 in Hammond, In. Nancy furthered her education at Purdue University in Hammond, IN., where she earned her Master of Science in Education. She worked for the Gary Community Corporation for 29 years as a Special Education teacher in Gary, Indiana. She taught math and retired from Bailey Middle School in the year 2000. Nancy received a Distinguished Service Award for 29 yrs of Service from the Gary Community School Corporation. Nancy enjoyed her retirement in Bradenton, Fl. Where she enjoyed playing a good game of Golf with her significant other, Raymond Carrizales, and loved crocheting blankets and placemats for her family and friends.
She is survived by her son Samuel Rios (Louise) of Bradenton, Florida and her three daughters, Jeanne Eanes of Wisconsin, Lisa Sacerich of Wisconsin and Angela Rios of Bradenton, Fl. Nancy has several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.
Nancy’s life will also be remembered by her sister friends, Donna and Jessica Bonanno of Bradenton, Fl., her childhood friend Gloria Faye of Indiana and her beloved stepdaughter Natalia Guerra (Carrizales).
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Floy (Coombs) Pinkerton and her two sisters, Joan Ludders and Lelia Muller.
The Celebration of Nancy Rios’ life will be held in a private setting with her family.
Nancy P. Rios will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but mostly for providing unconditional love, comfort and a sense of safety that she provided for her children, family and friends. She will forever be our hero. May she have eternal peace. Amen.
