He was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1955 to Francis and Florence Unsworth. Rick attended Warren Mott before studying a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at Michigan State University.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Unsworth, father, Francis Unsworth, sister-in-law, Cindy Unsworth, and is survived by his sons, James and Garrett Unsworth, brothers, Robert and Donald Unsworth, sister-in-law, Sandra Unsworth, and loving girlfriend/travel partner Cindy LePere.
Rick was a passionate hockey fan, coach, and player. Rick loved spending time on the water whether it was paddleboarding, swimming or boating. Rick was an avid traveler and enthusiastic about exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and capturing nature through photography.
A service for the immediate family will be held on the water where Rick spent most of his days. A celebration of life for friends and extended family will be held in Michigan at a later date. More details to come.
