Samuel E. Kelley, age 90, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Sam is survived by his wife, Jan, and two children, Klark Kelley and Kapi Whitfield. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Austin Kelley, Chasten Whitfield, Caden Whitfield and Tiffany Bedwell and a great grandson, Trey White.
Sam served four years with distinction as a Marine in the First Marine Division during World War II. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines remained with him throughout his long life, as friends and family will attest.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida.
