Steve and I were the closest of friends since he was 13 and I was 14. Steve started as a drummer and I was his bassist which is the closest of musical bonds. Later on along with Guitarist and Berklee Professor, Bruce, we launched a popular band bonding a lifelong friendship. I learned so much from Steve as he would come by Saturday mornings and have coffee with mom then wake me with ideas such as "lets learn to skydive", "Lets take full contact marshal arts classes" and so on... and we had so many experiences together!
Before relocating to Florida, Steve was the best man at my wedding. I miss him every day and as the ancient Egyptians believed, I say his name aloud everyday to keep his memory alive in our hearts and minds.

You will be deeply missed Steve. One of your great advice was never let the success get to your head. I will always remember that. You have been a great team member and a friend. Will do our best to carry on your vision for the RI Project . My deep condolences to the family.

My sincere condolences to Steve's family, friends, and colleagues. He brought valuable insight to his work in RI. He will be missed.

Steve was also an amazing technical architect. I enjoyed his counsel when he was a technical advisor and loved when he would share stories of his rock-n-roll past. He will be missed by all his friends in Tallahassee.

It was an honor to work with Steve over the past year. His wealth of knowledge, humor, and positive outlook brought so much light to our team. He was a friend to us all. My heartfelt condolences to his loving family and everyone who cherished him.

Steve was a great human being....plain and simple...a big man with an even bigger heart!  We worked together for the past 7 years or so and he was always fun to be around...had some great stories of his band opening for Aerosmith in the early days...touring with Freddie Fender as a summer job...I mean, what a great musical talent and so humble about it all.  I will miss him severely as we still would banter over the political surroundings and climate.  Godspeed my brother.  You are and will continue to be greatly missed.

Steve was one of the best people to work for and with.  I cherish the years we worked in Alaska and I was fortunate enough to work with him again over the past year.  It's devastating to know I'll never get the chance to talk to my dear friend again.  My heart goes out to Elaine, his 3 boys and his grandkids.  Steve was one of the great ones.  There are very few like him in our world these days.
