

He was the oldest of 9 siblings, Laina Minor of Fresno, Linda Hanna of Birminghamnm, MI, Donny, Denny, Kathy Castro, Jeanne Tate of Bartlesville, OK, And Dennis ( Matt ) of Talequah OK.
Dan is also survived by 2 Children, Marc and daughter in law Cathie, Kim Chamberlain and son-in -law Barry, he had 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Dan was preceded in death by his brother David, and his parents Lain and Kathryn McLain.
He was a 1956 graduate of Liberty High School, he served 8 yrs in the National Guard. Dan was employed by DuPont and retired after 38 yrs of service. He was a member of the Pittsburg Elks club and was one of the founding members of the Liberty High School Athletic Booster Club. Recently Dan has been inducted into the Liberty High School Athletic Hall of Fame for his outstanding accomplishment in track.
Dan had many interests and often enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, and any activity involving his family. But a good deal of Dan's enjoyment was spent on the business end of most any tool, and as a craftsman he possessed many skills. He passed on many of his talents to his family so that his memory will continue to be cherished.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Hsu, Gong, and Aducayen, the staff of Sutter Delta, Laila and Sam from Comfort Keepers, and Sutter VNA Hospice.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 10th from 5pm to 8pm at Brentwood Funeral Home 839 First Street in Brentwood.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 11th at 11am at Oak View Memorial Park 2500 E. 18th Street in Antioch.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, all gifts be sent to Sutter VNA Hospice.
