Bill was born in Pittsburg, California on August 14, 1952. He graduated from Antioch High School and worked for Pacific Gas and Electric for nearly 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Sherry of 15 years, his 3 sons: Hal, Matthew (Tammi), Jeffery (Cheryl), and his grandchildren: Maggie, Derek, Jacob, Benjamin, Elijah, and Owen. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Larry (Janice) and Sam (Pat). Preceded in death is his wife Jan of 25 years, and granddaughter, Imogen.
Bill was the kindest, most gentle man, with a heart bigger than the universe. We will always think of his sense of humor and horrible puns; the way he danced and sang in the grocery store as if no one was watching (they were); and his laughter. We cherish the memories of our family camping trips, (especially the time we got rained out and had stay the night in a hotel); and his deep love of Baseball, which included visits to 19 Major League Baseball parks and the Baseball Hall of Fame.

A Tribute To My Grandfather
In scientific theory, in the beginning there was the Big Bang. In another, it is known as creation. Neither has been proven, but most believe in some variation of these two philosophies. The Universe is made of atoms and matter--things that cannot be created nor destroyed. A randomized fraction of these trillions upon trillions of atoms—a one in an infinity of a chance—created this wonderful, caring man. As nothing is neither created nor destroyed, he will never truly be gone from us. Instead, he will continue on in another form. Everything that was this man—every photon that has ever bounced upon his skin has been set on another path, sub-atomically altering reality itself, and will carry on to maybe one day breathe life into another being upon this world. However, he has done more than alter the path of particles that aren’t even visible to the human eye; he is credited with half of his living genetics within his three grown sons, who have continued the gift of life within their own children--all the remaining living pieces of him. This is a man who’s one in infinity of a chance existence altered the course of mankind—with his smile, with his laughter, with his love. In this perspective, whether seen through the eyes of religion or science, he is forever with us. – written by Jacob Albright, grandson.
