Jane Ratcliffe Jun. 2, 1943 - Feb. 27, 2012 Resident of Brentwood Survived by her husband of 46 years John Ratcliffe, her son Daniel Ratcliffe of Antioch CA, her daughter Kimberly Palmer of Sacramento CA, her sister Beth Ann Wilson of Wilber Alabama, and her cousin Doug Lyerla of Castro Valley Ca. Jane was born in Murphysboro Illinois. She was raised by an aunt and uncle Merle and Imie Lyerla of Castro Valley California. She graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1961. While in High School she sang in a cappella and enjoyed singing throughout her life. Jane loved her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, movies, boating, reading, and trips to local casinos. For 30 years Jane has fought through three different bouts of cancer and congestive heart failure never once losing sight of what was most important to her, which was her interest in and love for her family and friends. Her selflessness and relentless courage to never let her illnesses get in the way of her love for life is how we choose to remember her. Jane was and remains a shining light for all who knew her. We love you and we miss you Services will be held Tuesday March 6th with a viewing from 9:00am-11:00am followed by a closed casket memorial service starting 11:00am at the Brentwood Funeral Home at 839 First Street in Brentwood California 94513.
