

Jordanna, 36, passed away on November 7, 2022 at her home in Brentwood, California surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Corona, California on April 16, 1986, she grew up in Oakley, CA attending Laurel Elementary, O’Hara Park Junior High and Freedom High School where she was a strong student and multi-sport athlete, Softball, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball.
Her biggest athletic accomplishments were at college while at San Francisco State. A four-time All-CCAA selection, she was part of the 2005 softball team that was inducted into the SF State Athletics Hall of Fame in September 2022. That squad is the winningest team in program history and went on to win the NCAA Western Regional for the first time in program history, and finished fifth at the NCAA DII National Championships. Compiling a 43-21 record. Jordanna earned CCAA Freshman of the Year honors and was named to the All-CCAA First Team as a freshman.
She repeated as an All-CCAA First Team selection in 2006 and was also named to the NFCA All-American and NFCA All-Region Teams. In just her second season, she already ranked top ten in career home runs, doubles, RBI, and stolen bases.
As a junior, she garnered All-CCAA Honorable Mention and as a senior was named to the All-CCAA Second Team and to the Athletic Department Honor Roll. In her senior campaign, Freemer batted a team-leading .350.
She remains the Gators' career leader with 33 home runs, 137 RBI, 152 runs scored, and is tied for first with 98 walks. She also finished her career second in hits (244); second in doubles (40), third in at-bats (693), stolen bases (56), and putouts (631); and fifth in games played (229). She held the school record for highest batting average (.352) until a new record was set in 2022.
Jordanna was a free spirit who made friends easily, supported them fiercely and always had a smile for them even in the bumpy times that happen with friendships. Her name and her smile were her calling card and you didn’t forget them. She was a hard worker, liked to travel, loved the holidays and was never afraid to try something new. She was a much loved daughter and sister.
She is survived by her parents, Carol & John Freemer, her brother John “JJ” Freemer, Aunt, Gail Baxter, great aunt, Pauline Peterson, Aunt, Shirley Fiorucci and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Levon Glenn and Coralyn Baxter, Elizabeth and Robert Freemer, Uncle, Rob Freemer, Uncle, Ray Freemer and Aunt, Glenna Baxter.
A celebration of life will be held at a time and place to be determined. In the intervening time there will be a memorial tree placed in the Brentwood City Park in her honor during the holiday season. Her family encourages all those who knew and loved her to place an ornament on the tree in remembrance of their friend.
