Joseph Arthur Pakin May 20, 1943 ~ Feb. 2, 2011 Resident of Brentwood Joseph Arthur Pakin passed away peacefully in home with his family by his side. He was loved and respected by his family, friends, and clients. Joseph was born in Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from Acalanes High School and received his bachelors degree from Hayward State University. He served nine years in the United States Air Force where he traveled all around the world. After working for the IRS, Joseph's entrepreneurial spirit prompted him to open his own tax practice, Joseph Pakin and Associates. He helped guide, counsel, and advise his clients for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling, classic movies, boxer dogs, telling jokes, trips to Reno, and most of all he loved spending time with his family. Joseph and his high school sweetheart Nancy Pakin were happily married for 45 years. He was a devoted husband who cared for Nancy during her final days. He is survived by Erik Pakin and his wife Dawn, their two children Zack and Alyssa of Brentwood, and his younger son Clint Pakin of Carrollton, TX. He will be dearly missed by his entire family, lifelong friends, and his many clients throughout the years. Family, friends, and clients are invited to share in a Celebration of Life on April 15, 2011. This could not be a better day to honor him as it was his favorite day of the year. The reception will take place in the Camellia Room at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek, CA.
