

Judy, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away after her battle with pancreatic cancer. Judy was 74 years old. Judy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford and Maryan Babbel. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1959. Judy later married and had 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Judy moved with her family from Richmond, CA to Antioch, CA in 1974 where she remained until 2004 at which time she moved to Brentwood, CA. Judy worked the majority of her career at John Muir Medical Center for 21 years and retired in 2007.
Judy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Judy cherished the relationships she had with members of her ward and was always losing herself in the service of others. Judy enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing card games and just socializing with her friends in her neighborhood.
Judy is survived by her daughters Kari of Los Angeles, CA and Tami of Brentwood, CA and her sons, John of Ashburn, VA and Joe Oakley, CA and her 10 grandchildren. She was loved by all of them and will be truly missed.
Burial: Judy will be laid to rest at the Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond, CA
Memorial: A memorial service will be held at the LDS church located at 1875 Highland Way, Brentwood, CA 94513 on Thursday, September 24th, 2015 at 11:00am.
