From the start of his life, Lance was adventurous, always exploring, always searching, always, experiencing everything possible.
In younger years, Lance excelled at sports. He was athletic and competitive in baseball, basketball and skiing.
When serving in the military, Lance was a Biathlon participant and played baseball for the Italian Team. While stationed in Italy, Lance enjoyed all the sights and sounds of Europe. Later in life Lance would have the opportunity to return to Europe many times. He rode his bicycle across Greece, exploring small towns, tasting the local cuisines, learning more of the already researched history of the locations and making new friends.
Lance was able to travel extensively during his employment with Herbal Life International. It was common for Lance to be in South America one day and Indonesia the next. Mexico seemed to capture his heart and he returned there as often as possible. His true love remained Italy and the Alps and he requested to have his ashes spread in the Alps so that he will remain there forever.
Lance loved attention and blossomed in the limelight and was often the life of the party.
Above all, Lance loved his family and wanted the family atmosphere to continue always.
Lance’s greatest joy was the day his son Tali was born. Spending time with Tali was forever on his mind. He was planning time to share with Tali right up to the end.
During his final years, Lance was stricken with many debilitating health issues.
Everyday became a struggle and Lance knew that he would have difficulty in enjoying many physical activities he loved so much. He managed to find windows of Hoop with his brother and nephews and His last moments with his son Tali were showing him how body surfing is done. These events were highlights for Tali and Lance and up to his last day we were planning more of these times to get them together.
Lance is now free of his pain and dispair…. Probably playing rounds of tennis with his father Tom, running with his dogs: LaCaille , B and Mac and enjoying his new life to its fullest.
Lances smile will live on in his son Tali .
Our memory of Lance always includes love, laughter and a sincere heart.
