I'll miss Mari and I having hours of conversations about anything and everything. Especially about her 49er's and my Raiders. Love you Mari.

Mari I miss your laugh, sense of humor. I love to watch and listen to stories with you and lupe on holiday tamale time. You are truly missed till we meet again.

I remember this day.  We were determined to get a picture with Oski and followed him around like groupies.  Mari finally shouts to him "Go Bears Oski! How about a picture?"  He gladly posed with her and it made her day......

We were big "Band Nerds" and would run from one location to another to watch them play.  We enjoyed the game but for us the highlight was watching the Cal band at halftime!

Mari was always there to celebrate milestones, from birthdays to graduations.  She loved her nephews and nieces so much!

Your cheerful energy filled my childhood with laughter.  I will always remember our living room picnics, secret sweets, and all the fun ways we managed to break Mom and Dad's rules.  I appreciate all the unconditional support you have given me.

I remember when you took me and my friend to the Day of the Dead Festival in Fruitvale. I had just returned from the Peace Corps and was having a hard time re-integrating back into American society, and you invited me to come along. We stopped by a little booth and you and your friend bought me a little Elmo finger puppet, which I still have almost 20 years later. We danced in the street, drank margaritas, you told off a man who started talking to me to leave me alone (he was a creep ;)), and it was such an amazing, fun, carefree time. Thank you for that, and all of the other deep belly laughs I got to share with you!

To the Zisman/Puente family,
Mari was a shining light, beloved by her family, friends and coworkers.  We will always hear her laughter and see her smiling face in our hearts.
She knew how much she was loved which she always reciprocated. 

The celebration of Mari's life, organized by Lupe and family, was truly special and reflected the beauty of her heart and spirit. 
Mari will be greatly missed. She will live in the hearts of all who loved her and whom she loved.

One of my fondest memories of Mar was when we got together , four friends that had worked together for years, at the Bates Asylum: Louise, Annie, Mari and  myself. So much laughter and reminiscing.. then CoVid hit and put a “hold” on intimate evenings like that one. I took this pic of Mar and will cherish it forever. She was loved and will be missed by many.
