

Marie passed after a brief battle with cancer and dementia. She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama and was one of 10 siblings, being the third oldest. Marie came to California at age 18 and worked at Union Safety Deposit Bank in Stockton. She married Theodore Troutman and moved to Antioch in 1954. She worked at U.S. Steel Credit Union for a brief time.
Marie enjoyed sewing and crafting and held a holiday boutique for many years. She loved camping and traveling. During her lifetime she and Ted traveled to many states in the continental U.S., Hawaii, Alaska and Europe. They especially loved attending family reunions in Laughlin, Nevada every fall.
She was a long time member of Laurel Ridge Community Church.
Survived by her 3 children, Ronald Troutman, Pamela Asher and David Troutman. Two grandchildren, Mitchell Veatch and Teresa Rivera and one great grandson, Andrew Rivera. Sisters, Jane Sledge and Talma James, brother Kenneth Mitchell and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Laurel Ridge Community Church, 2459 Laurel Rd., Oakley, Ca. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
