Ralph Edward Birchfield

Ralph passed away at home after several years of worsening heart disease, diabetis, and COPD. Ralph was raised in Pittsburg, Ca and attended Pittsburg High School. After graduation Ralph enlisted in the Army. He served for 6 years in the Army as Infantry and received an honorable discharge. Ralph came home to Pittsburg and worked odd jobs and helped his sister care for their mother and later their step-father as both battled with cancer. Ralph worked at Hannah Nicole Winery for several years where his skills as a handyman and craftsman were put to good use. Ralph could fix anything and saw value in keeping old things in working order. He enjoyed attending music concerts with his friends and collected pewter dragons.

Ralph is survived by his estranged son, Jeremy Birchfield, his sister, Dineen Birchfield Riemenschneider, his brother, "Denny" Birchfield, half-brother, Adam Birchfield, his cousin Ingrid Birchfield Nash and his beloved nephews; Nelson, Corbin, Weston, Janson, Sherman and Barit.

Ralph will be missed by all who knew him.

Ralph will be interred at Sacramento Valley National Cemetary with military honors. Ralph will be honored at a Life Celebration Service Monday June 30, 2014, at 7pm located at Harvest Time Church 2200 Ventura Dr Brentwood CA 94513
