

Velma Fidelia (Sisneroz) Fresquez, 73, died peacefully on January 30, 2016 at home surrounded by her family in Oakley, CA after a long battle with emphysema. Velma was born July 22, 1942, in Leadville, CO. the daughter of Adolph Sisneroz and Ascension (Candelaria).
Velma thoroughly enjoyed playing games, putting together puzzles, listening to music and spending time with her family. She was very proud of the fact that she was in the first graduating class of James Logan High School in Union City. Velma worked at Alpha Photo in Oakland, CA as a bookkeeper.
In 1970, Velma married the love of her life, Lawrence Fresquez and raised three children. In addition to raising her own three children she also helped raise her departed sister’s children. Velma also opened her home and heart as a babysitter/caregiver to many children while she lived in San Jose, CA .
Velma is survived by her husband Lawrence, her children Nicole (Matthew), Larry (Brandi) and Kenny (Allison), and her grandchildren Dylan, Chase, Lorenzo, Sebastian, Genevieve, Isabel and Maya. She is also survived by her siblings LeRoy and Yolanda. Velma also leaves numerous family members including cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eddie, Adolph, Loveada, Art, Frank, Phil and Ralph.
