Hi Aaron,

I'm so sorry I never got to know you, and I really wish I did. I remember the first time seeing you was at Freshman Orientation, and I though you seemed nice. I remember you rode my bus and could play the guitar amazingly. I remember liking your shoes and belts, but I never had the courage to talk to you. I'm so sorry for never being friends, but I know that everyone you knew is thankful to have known you.

Aaron it has been 17 days since you passed away and I have thought about so many of our memories I remember saying to in reference to forrest GUMP " you is my best good freind" and I remember our days at cub scout camp arguing over the cedar wood and little bit of trouble we always liked to get in to in the middle of the night at my house and whenever I would get into trouble as I did so often I would remember that you were a good influence on me. I tried do hard to convince your parents that I never got into trouble,HAROLD AND KUMAR  that movie was so funny we watched It at 3 am at my house and had to ice our ribs from laughing so hard, you will be greatly missed and we will have a jam session when I see you again but try to check in on me from time to time haha and take care of me up there. I'll always remember Aaron running through Karate class yelling "charge!" What a cool kid full of energy. I enjoyed showing him some of his first chords on the guitar. Such a fast learner. Very bright young man. Wish I could have heard him shred on his guitar. Heard he got really good. He will be missed. Love to your family. Matthew

Holly and Bill- I remember when Aaron was little and, from all ages, we always saw him in his Scout uniform with his dad. He was a smart, sweet boy and we are very sorry for your loss. Aaron- we love you!

Bill and Hollye, my heart is broken over your loss. We so loved Aaron.  He was such a special, smart kid and I know you feel the deepest imaginable sorrow.  My hope that day by day some lightness will return and you will be able to cherish your time with him and know that God so loves you both and has him in his loving care.

He was a very great person even though we don´t pass a lot of time with him. he shows us how to explore things and always be happy we have very beautiful memories of him, and holly we have to be strong this is a very hard moment but life continue and we have to enjoy it we are so sorry about what happened but remember you have friends that loves you here in Costa Rica...!!!

Fluffy, I mean Aaron, you know that you are my favorite...  and always up to something!  You became fast friends with Willo and enticed him into your hilarious world of camouflaged paint ball warriors.  Anything military, so much so that we could not go into an army surplus store with out wanting to buy you everything we saw!  We would look at something and say who do you think would love this? The vary thought of you made us giggle.  Your character, your sense of humor, your daringness to differ from others, gifts that few others posses.  I could continue, but you already know (since you are my favorite).  
We so miss you, but we will be with you, and you'll be with us too.

Anyone who has ever met Aaron has immediately noticed his unique personality, which made him so different than everyone else. He was outgoing and was open to everyone he met. He never hesitated to show off his undying love for Iron Maiden, and not many people could rival Aaron's passion for guitar. Aaron was always happy, and just being in his presence made you feel better. Aaron was one of my closest friends, and I will never forget him. He will be missed dearly by everyone, and we will always remember Aaron.

Aaron was so full of joy. I was blessed to be in his advisory 7th and 8th grade year. He was so much fun to be around and his smile was contagious, so was his laugh! He was so sweet and down to earth, you couldn't help but want to be friends with him. He had so many friends and everyone who knew him automatically loved him because of his upbeat and fun personality. He, and his air guitar skills he walked into advisory with every morning, will be extremely missed. He might have had it good down here, but he's having way more fun up there. And to you, Mr & Mrs Valentine, thank you for giving all of us the chance to meet and be friends with your wonderful son. You will be in my prayers.

We are so sorry to hear this saddest of all news.  You have been such wonderful parents to Aaron, and you loved and enjoyed him so much!  It was obvious how close you all were, and no wonder  as you shared your lives and interests with him, and he did the same with you.

We are so glad that we had the chance to have lunch with you all in Nashville a couple of years ago at the Indian restaurant.  The highlight of that day was seeing Aaron so grown up, and  hearing  Kapil advising him on how to negotiate Brentwood High School.

We will never forget his smile and your love for him.  We want to be here for you.  Let us know how.  Doyle is coming home the middle of July, and I am on my way home right now.

This news is so difficult to digest.  Aaron was an amazing young man who always came to class with a great, toothy smile and a new fact or two to share about Iron Maiden. He was bright, passionate and free spirited.  His energy was contagious.  While I am deeply saddened by his passing, I am truly thankful that he was a student of mine and that he impacted my life as well as the lives of the other students in class, in such a positive way.

I always was jealous of how secure Aaron was with who he was. It's hard to be so confident in yourself when everyone else just wants you to conform to the norm. As many others have said, Aaron was a light in everyone's life. It was as if he could always do something to brighten someone's day and that is really a special talent. My lasting impression of Aaron is this: he cared about others more than himself. Prayers go out to his family.

Arriving at your home for Aaron's guitar lesson I was usually greeted with his excited smile and his enthusisam to show me yet another rescued animal he was helping his Mom with or another project he was working on with his Dad. A wonderful boy and a loving family.

Dear Holly and Bill,                                          I just heard the news about Aaron from Mary.  I want you to know how deeply sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful, talented son.  I never knew Aaron, but looking through all the scrapbook photos I can see he was a perfect reflection of the two of you; not only in appearance, but in all the fun activities you shared together over the years.                       Holly, the pictures of you with Aaron just warmed my heart; you both looked so happy and so close; being a mom was clearly something you were cut out for from the start.                                                                I can't imagine what you're both going through, but please know my heart goes out to you and your family.

We are grieved to hear about Aaron.  Lifted you up in prayer this morning for courage and strength to walk through this day and the days ahead.  I so enjoyed seeing a snap shot of Aaron's life in the 8th grade video pictures submitted by you and others last year.  There was one picture in particular that I was adamant about including at the end of one of the segments.  It was cute and fun and reflected Aaron's good sense of humor.

Aaron you didnt look like yourself at your visitation, but I will always remember you as your smiling self. You always made me laugh and smile. I am glad I have been able to get to know you over the years. RIP Aaron Valentine you will be greatly missed.

As I look through this slideshow I see so many happy moments and memories that portray a loving family and a happy life!  What a wonderful collection of pictures.  As a mother, I cannot begin to understand this loss but I see an amazing timeline of interests, joys, family time, sports, accomplishments, excitement,  fun, and happiness.  That is what we all hope to have during our lifetime, no matter how short or long we are here.  My prayers are with the Valentine Family!  He is a son to be proud of and he will be dearly missed.

Aaron made a mark on probably every student. Whether it was for his skill on the guitar or just being himself, he brightened the day of all the students. Words cannot adequately express the sorrow I felt when learning of the loss of Aaron.  I extend my heartfelt sympathy to you both.  Curtis and I will forever share the memory of our carpooling trips home with Aaron from Harding Academy - particularly their 8th grade.  We developed our own game called the "non-cash cab" where I would ask any trivia question that popped into my head and the boys desperately tried to provide the correct answer first.  There was no scoring and the game usually didn't end until either I couldn't think of any new questions or we reached Aaron's driveway.  As expected, Aaron dominated the animal and rock music questions.  We had great fun and made the trip something to look forward to.  These fond memories of Aaron will stay with me always.

What can I say about Aaron. He was a kind spirit, talented musician, and a overall great friend. Whether we were playing music together, hanging out at the mall, or just walking around the neighborhood, he was always making me laugh. I can honestly say he was one of my best friends, and he will be greatly missed.

I never actually met Aaron, but from all the messages everywhere I can tell everybody loved him so much, nobody ever deserves to die so young. I can't even imagine how terrible this is for his family, his close friends. I wish the best for you all, and hopefully we can do something in his memory.

Aaron, you were one of the kindest people I knew. You were my first friend, when my mom and I moved to Nashville. I remeber the day you got your braces, and the pool table games up in my uncle's game room. The day we went to the baseball game and you got the baseball which made you so happy. The times when our parents were upstairs and we would watch movies together.These are the only things that I can say will be with me always. I never knew anything bad of you. I know that you are in a better place now. This is a place where you can have an airsoft or paintball gun and play whenever. Have the best guitar on Earth, have a surround sound system, all the animals you ever wanted. I know this because you were one the best, nicest, and funniest person I knew. I never knew Aaron personally. I met him at Camp Vandy when I was about 7 or 8. His troop has shared a campsite with my troop for the last 3 years at Winter Camp. I always admired his taste in music and his kind spirit. He will be greatly missed.

Aaron's smile and talent were known and appreciated by all on the Harding campus!  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only spoke to Aaron a few times.  We were on the same volleyball team in gym and he was so nice, helping me when he could and not laughing at me because I played so badly.  I wish I could've known him better.

Aaron was the most talented guitar player I have ever seen. It's hard to have as much love for music as Aaron had. I looked up to him as a new guitar player. I hope he's in a much safer and happier place with God. My prayers go to all of his family.

I went to school with Aaron and he was a delight to be in class with. he was smart and funny and always enjoyable to be around. I really wish I could have gotten to know him better. May God bring you peace Aaron.
