Adeleine “Addy” Jane Hupy, 28, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 18th. She was born in Stamford, Connecticut on December 22ⁿᵈ, 1996. She graduated high school from Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Connecticut, and her enthusiasm for music later led to a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Music Business from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She worked as a Patient Care Coordinator at a physiotherapy clinic.
Addy faced her health challenges with more courage and grace than most people show in a lifetime. Even in the hardest of moments, she met the world with a smile and a dry, witty humor that lifted others. She was the “hype” girl when anyone needed encouragement, and her kindness was a sacred, rare, and beautiful gift. Her love for music stretched across many genres, and she used that passion to connect, heal, and create. Addy left an indelible mark on anyone she met, and her beauty–inside and out– remains with those who loved her.
Addy is survived by her mother, Jeanene Wedertz Hupy; her sisters Olivia Hupy (Dylan Hopper) and Amelia Hupy; her father, Jerry Hupy (Leslie Mallon) and Leslie’s children Alexia, Anastasia, and Theodore; Michael Simpson, her boyfriend of 10 years; and grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private gathering to celebrate her life will be held on December 6th.
In lieu of flowers, Addy’s loved ones kindly request donations to be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children Hospital. She interned for the organization in college. https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
In remembrance of Addy, please remember to be kind to everyone.
