Barbara was a wonderful person, through and through.  She was gracious, sweet and understanding.  There aren’t many women out there like her who was so accepting.  I’m grateful to have known her and spent so much time with her daughter, whom is just like her.  
She will be missed and the memories of her cherished.

A beautiful, strong, smart lady.  One of the very bravest patients in my 30 years of orthopaedic practice.  She met every physical hurdle with courage, grace, and even gratitude.  It was an honor for Tara, Delores, and me to provide care for her.  She made every visit to the clinic a better day for us.  Now we know she walks with the angels.  Morry, we love you. We are lucky to be neighbors of Morry and Barbara.  Barbara was such a breath of fresh air, when we would talk she was so full of praise and joy.  She truly wanted her community and neighborhood to be a better place and it was always a joy seeing her out riding the mower and cleaning the yard.  She enjoyed watching and talking about the transformation of our home and I wish she was still around to see all the progress we are making.  I was fortunate enough to visit with her at home last October and share photos and stories.  I often imagine her running around and taking free deep breaths in heaven…where I’m sure she has made lots of friends.  Thinking of Morry often.

I was so sorry to hear about Barbara.   Although she and I shared a lot of  struggles with her health,  it allowed us to become friends over the years.  We had many life conversations, and I felt blessed by our friendship.  Praying for peace and comfort.  Delores Burns,  R.N.

I was friends with Barbara’s sons, who lived in my neighborhood and went to high school with me. Often, a big group of us would be at the Ellis’ house, in the driveway or in the bonus room just being teenagers, but I remember anytime walking into the kitchen or when she would be on the deck, Barbara would always take time to talk to me and ask me how things were going. She was kind and welcoming and was really a saint for letting so many of us hang out in her house!! When I would go to the Christmas Eve service with my mom, Barbara was always there and again she made time to tell me hello and to give me a hug. I really appreciated her loving presence and acceptance. All of my heartfelt condolences to the entire family and everyone who knew her who is mourning such a tremendous loss. She really was such an example of kindness and compassion for others. I’m grateful to have known her and her family, and to have been welcomed to their home during a tricky part of my life.  ♥️

I worked with Barbara for several years. I really enjoyed her sense of humor, and appreciated her words of encouragement. She was always going above and beyond to help those less fortunate. 

Our prayers + love are with the Ellis Family as you journey through this season of loss + grief. 

Barbara's brother Russell is my best friend, and through him my wife and I had been kept apprised of her long struggle. Moreover, we know what a loving wife she was to her husband Maury, and how devoted a mother she was to her children. We had not seen Barbara and Maury in quite some time, but we remember her as a kind, welcoming, and witty soul whose pragmatism & sense of humor surely served her well as she endured any number of health challenges.

So we convey our sincerest condolences to Russell, to Maury, and to the Ellis family at this  difficult time.
