

Age 77 of Brentwood, passed away on January 7, 2017.She was born on February 13, 1939 to John Aaron Elam and Elsie B. Womack. Bettye graduated from North High School Class of 1957 and she married Arthur Chester Morris, III in November of 1959. Bettye is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Chester. She is survived by son, Chip (Kelly) Morris and daughter Sheila (Michael) Mohr; and grandchildren, Carrie, Meredith, Joseph, Amanda, Daniel and Natalie.Bettye was a native Nashvillian and her professional career in local real estate spanned over three decades. She achieved some of the highest accolades in her profession and was well-known and loved by all of her clients. She was associated with many real estate brokerages; Folk-Jordan Real Estate, Re/MAX Elite, Re/MAX Fine Homes, and The Lipman Group Sotheby's International Realty. The organizations she was involved with include the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors, Friends of Brentwood Library and Friends of Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. In addition, she received honors and awards from the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. She was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church.Serving as pallbearers: Deanne Cotthoff-Stumbo, Janice Cobb, Judy Lehman, Judy Albright, Donna Mason, Marsha Buscher, Edith Johnston, Joyce Butler, Molly Edmonson and Shirley McLeod.Celebration of life service will be on Friday, January 13, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning, at Brentwood United Methodist Church at 309 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN, 37027, with gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
