Reba Carter Manning

Reba was born May 4, 1934, to Bessie Carter and William F. Carter. She was a devoted member of Crievewood United Methodist Church for 69 years and an active participant in community and chamber activities in the Goodlettsville area. Reba loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing bridge, cooking for family, and supporting church and community causes.

She is survived by her sons Gary Manning (Suzanne) and Jere Manning (Kris); grandchildren Reid Manning (Katya), Kendall Ponchillia (Dalton), Courtney Manning, Kennedy Sowell (Hunter), Carter Manning and Caitlyn Manning; great-grandchildren Jackson Ponchillia, Charlotte Ponchillia and Baby Sowell; her sister Margie Rajotte; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Bessie Carter; her husband Kenneth Manning; her sister Mae Hensley; and her brothers Bill and Bob Carter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crievewood United Methodist Church, 451 Hogan Rd, Nashville, TN, followed by a Celebration of life at 2:00 PM. The family will be having a private burial.
