

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Julia Turner of Watertown, TN; and his brothers, Gene Turner of Brentwood, TN and Harold Turner of Cleveland, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances McCollum Turner; and his son, Bradford Clark Turner-Little; daughter-in-law Karalee; two grandchildren (Lydia & Isaac); as well as two brothers (David & Raymond); and two sisters (Mary Ann & Nelda).
In 1953, he graduated from Bowling Green Business University, now a part of Western Kentucky University. His served in the Naval Reserves of the U.S. Navy as an Ensign (Supply Corp) during the Korean War. A Certified Public Accountant, Bob’s business career was in Nashville, TN, first working as a senior accountant for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company, then serving in a variety of capacities at the Baptist Sunday School Board, now LifeWay Christian Resources, over four decades. His time there focused initially on building the Board’s internal controls, then leading the Conference Centers Division, and concluding as Assistant Vice President, Church Programs and Services. After retirement from the Board in 1992, Bob became active in Kiwanis, spent many days working on his beloved Turner Farm in Watertown, TN and enjoyed traveling with his wife across the country and throughout Europe. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob’s faith in Jesus Christ was a central part of his life. He joined First Baptist Church Nashville in 1957, where he served as a life deacon, participated in many mission trips, and served on multiple committees over his 59 years of membership.
Visitation will be Friday, February 19th at Brentwood-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, Brentwood, TN, from three o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening. Services will be held Saturday morning, February 20th at First Baptist Church, with visitation from nine to ten o’clock, and a celebration service at ten o’clock, Dr. Frank R. Lewis II presiding.
A graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon, TN at two-thirty that afternoon.
