

He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 21, 1956. Tim graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy and received his engineering degree and MBA from Vanderbilt University.
He was married to Vickie Cummings on December 28, 2011, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tim served his country with honor as a U.S. Army Captain, Ranger, Airborne-qualified officer, and military diver. His service included specialized training and leadership that shaped how he approached every chapter of his life — with discipline, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility.
After completing his military career, he went on to build an accomplished civilian life, working as a Registered Industrial Engineer in his family’s business, Cummings Signs. He was also a Certified Qualified Trainer, manufacturing officer, published author, technical writer, web programmer, and patent holder. He loved helping business owners grow and guiding them through challenges with insight, integrity, and creativity.
He was Treasurer and President of Christian Education Organization Mastermind and had a passion for supporting, educating, and evangelizing fellow entrepreneurs and business owners. His faith, steady presence, and problem-solving mind affected many lives and organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Cummings; his children, Laurel Sanderson, Timothy (Emily) Cummings Jr., and Grace Bay; his grandchildren, Maggie, Julia, Megan, Benjamin, Josephine; and his siblings, Tamara Haggard, Tina Huggins (Mark Frisse), and Thomas (Mary Ella) Cummings III.
Vickie’s Children, Dave (Kris) Feltman, Mark (Jamie) Feltman, Suzie (Craig) Florez Bonville; grandchildren, Jenna, Alexa (Isaiah), Emma, Ethan, Isabella, Ava, Moses and Cameron and great grandchildren, Roman, Eden, Charlotte and Phillip.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Stephens Valley Church, located at 6000 Pasquo Rd, Nashville, TN, 37221, on January 17, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
