Adam L. Blackwell

BLACKWELL, Adam L., 87, of Masaryktown, FL died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Brooksville Healthcare Center in Brooksville, FL.   He was born in Cuba, MO and came here 11 years ago from Roseland, FL. He served in both the  U.S.  Army and Air Force.  He was owner/operator of Blackwell Paint and Body Shop in Blue Mound, IL. After working in the paint and body industry, he worked as a security guard for many housing/condo developments and PHCC-Spring Hill campus, Masaryktown Community Center and wherever he was needed. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, FL and a life member of the Disabled  American Veterans.  Predeceased by his wife Mabel P. Blackwell and  son, James Michael, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Tom Lee and Marcia of Florahome, FL; daughters and sons-in-law: Rosemary and Joseph Wakeman of Decatur, IL; Rita Jo-Ann and David Disciascio of Masaryktown, FL; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and many loving extended family members.
