He was a retired Contractor and was employed by Killingsworth Insurance Agency of Brooksville, FL. He was an avid hunter & fisherman and was of the Baptist faith.Survivors include his Sons & Daughters-in-law: William Allen & Cathy May and Russell Lee May all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, James Darrell May, John Claybourn & Deborah May, Justin Cameron May & Travis Elliott May all of Brooksville, David Tyler & Josie Sayer May of West Palm Beach, FL; Daughters & Son-in-law: Regina Lynn & Charles Silverton of Margate, FL and Peggy Elizabeth Terek & Sharon Elaine May both of Brooksville; Step Daughter: Lucinda Cawley of Davenport, FL; Brother & Sister-in-law: Mark & Janet May of Tennessee; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Guylyn Jean & Orleen Stout and Linda Gail & Charles Stoner all of Tennessee and Emma Lou & Bobby Mendoza of Ohio; 16 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.Visitation for friends will be 2 - 4pm, Sun., Sept. 24, 2006 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, FL, where funeral services will begin at 4:00pm.
