My wonderful son Chaz, 43, passed away peacefully Friday, April 3rd, 2026. He was born in Tampa, FL August 31, 1982. Chaz was a big guy with a big personality who loved to make people laugh. He also had a big heart and cared deeply about his family and friends and the many animals we had throughout the years.
Chaz held many jobs throughout his life but the most meaningful was working at Florida Lanes Bowling Alley as a young boy and later at Pasco Beverage. These two jobs led to lifelong friendships that he held very dear. Later he got his CDL license and drove 18 wheelers across the country in all 48 states. He also worked as a trainer at Roadmaster Truck Driving School and various other jobs. At different times in his life he enjoyed bowling, riding his horses and dirt bikes. He loved watching sports and loved music, especially country.
He is predeceased by his dad, Terry, his Mammy and Pa and his Granny and Gigi. He is survived by his mom, Holly: his aunt Becky and uncle Hal; cousin Lauren (Arthur, Oskar and Arlo); cousin Lacey (Justin and Ivy); aunt Gloria; cousin Riva (Hien, Cara and Brian); aunt Donna and cousin Taylor.
No words can express the hole it leaves in our hearts that he is no longer with us here, but glory to God for his recent salvation that we know where he is for eternity and we will one day join him there.
There will be a service on May 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Brooksville, 420 Howell Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601. Immediately following the service there will be a reception in the fellowship hall to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, those that wish may make a donation to the "Memorial Fund for Chaz Whigham" at fbcbrooksville.org/give (click General Fund drop box).
