

HOFFMAN – Christopher James, “CJ”, age 15 of Spring Hill died Thurs., Nov. 29, 2012 after losing a battle with pneumonia. CJ was severely multiply handicapped from a stroke he endured at 2 weeks of age, but was the shining light of so many lives. His life, struggle and constant happy disposition both inspired and helped morepeople than it is possible to count. He helped to further stroke research and was the driving force behind the founding of a national support group that has helped over 5,000 families. His perpetual smile will shine on in the hearts of everyone who knew him and will continue to live on. Survivors include his mother, Rae Hoffman and his father, Chris Hoffman; stepmother, Deborah Hoffman; stepfather, Sean Dolan; sister Faith; brothers Sam and Thomas; stepsisters Amanda and Melanie; uncles Josh and Rick; aunts Sarah, Amanda and Lauryn; grandmother Peggy; grandfathers Rod and Charlie; stepgrandmother Liz; godfather Hector; cousins Desiree, Gordon, Robbie and many, many more. CJ was preceded in his passing by his great aunt Susie; great grandmothers Audrey and Kay; great grandfather Preston Witt; godmother Gladys. CJ will forever be his Daddy’s light and Bubba and his Mama’s hero and driving force. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Merritt Funeral Home in Spring Hill.
