SMITH, Cuba N., age 102, of Jacksonville, FL died Monday, May 15, 2017. She was born in Carrollton, GA and resided in Spring Hill, FL during the 1980’s. She was employed as a dental technician. Predeceased by son: William Welch and daughters, Ruth Taylor and Marian L. Smith, she is survived by daughter-in-law: Sally R. Welch of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 6-8:00pm, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon, Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Michael Kouts celebrant. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida
