BAKER, Danny Joe, age 63 of Brooksville, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at HPH Hospice Care Center. Born in Huntington, West Virginia he came here 36 years ago from W. Hamlin, West Virginia. He retired from Hernando County Department of Public Works. He enjoyed fishing and loved to cook chicken and ribs on a smoker. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife: Nada Harris Baker; daughter & son-in-law: Betty & Rodger Hall of Jamestown, Kentucky; grandson: Chase “Man” Hall and a host of special friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Lee; three brothers, Randy, Little Henry and Mike. Visitation for friends will be 6 – 8pm, Wed., December 9, 2015 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. Mr. Baker will be laid to rest in the Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
