ELLINGHUYSEN, Darwin D., age 78, of Brooksville, FL died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at his home. He was born in Winona, MN and came to the area 48 years ago from Winona. He retired in 1995 from Sears as a service tech and was a former dairy farmer in Minnesota and Florida. He was an Elder and a member of the Men’s Club at Christ Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife: Betty of Brooksville, FL; sons: Douglas (Debby) Ellinghuysen of Ridge Manor, FL; Craig Ellinghuysen of Brooksville, FL; daughters: Cindy (Gene) Maynard of Senoia, GA; Christine (Todd) Hediger of Land O’ Lakes, FL; sisters: Della Marie Rupprecht of Lewiston, MN; Yvonne (Bill) Grutzmacher of Altoona, WS; Karen (Robert) Olson of Winona, MN; 7 grandchildren: Ashley, Rachael, Alex, Kourtney, Catelyn, Tanner, and Olivia.  Visitation for friends will be 6-8:00pm, Friday, May 11, 2012 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
