Delma "Del" Jean France-Lane passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 79. Del was a resident of Brooksville, Florida. She was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 26, 1946 to Lloyd and Berma (Peebles) Stinson.
Delma was known as ‘Del’ by those close to her. She had a love for the Lord and her family. For nearly 40 years, she and her first husband, Dale France, a pastor, travelled around the country, while Dale lead services in the churches and Del would sing gospel music and perform puppet shows for the children. Del was a featured performer, singing big band era music right up through current Broadway hits for over 30 years at Scott's Oquaga Lake House in Deposit, New York. There, she also managed the Playhouse, where performances were held during the resort's open season.
Del had a great love of crafting--painting, sewing, papercrafts--she loved all mediums as long as she could create something pretty.
She is predeceased by two husbands, Dale France (44 years of marriage) and Joseph Kitchens (3 years of marriage); her brother, Dale Stinson; and her granddaughter, Jasmine Hromada.
Del is survived by her sons, Keith France and Timothy France (Heather); her daughter, Susan France; grandchildren, Aaron, Jennifer, Maranda, and Christian; 5 great-grandchildren; and her husband of 5 years, Michael Lane.
Del will be reunited in rest with her first husband, Dale, on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513).
