Dearest Patty,I have tried to think of the right words to say, but there are none.  Ed was a wonderful supervisor, he always had a smile.  I liked seeing his smile, it brighten my evening.  Ed will be sorely missed.I will pray that the hand of Our Lord will hold me up and give the strenth to endure this very sorrowful time.  I will keep you in my prayer, Patty.

Although it has been years since I have seen Ed and Patty, I remember them well and with gladness in my heart.  Ed always smiling, Patty a wonderful person, selfless and helpful to all.  Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Ed, though it's been a few years since we worked together, I've never forgotten you. I still think about you in your whites, walking the halls or sitting at the desk in the ER, phone to your ear, papers spread out. Ed, an extraordinary and trustworthy friend and confidant.  Thank you for your love, patience and your listening ear for which I relied upon at least three nights a week for all of these years.  Thank you for being my meeting buddy. Thank you for keeping me sane, for letting me vent, for never ever judging me and for your love and your smile that reminded me what really matters.  I pray you are in the arms of the angels, smiling on all of us and reaping the rewards of a life well lived my friend.  I will miss you all the days of my life.

Patty,  My heart aches for you and your family.  We are all lucky and blessed to have met Ed and he touched each of us in his own special way.  I met him when I was in clinicals at the old hospital.  I was so very scared and he was so very strong and friendly and he made me feel ok even with all my mistakes.  I will always remember what a caring, loving man he was and I will always be thankful for how he touched my life.  We are all going to miss you, Ed.....

Patty I am truly sorry for the loss you have had to endure.  Although I didn't work with him much anymore since he went to nights, I have good memories of working many days with him at the old hospital especially.  He would always come into the department and just sit and visit with us, always joking around.  He always had a smile on his face.  I will miss him dearly.  If you need anything let me know.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Bree

Patty,      I wish there was something I could do or say to ease your pain, I will smile when I think of Ed and all the 11pm phone calls we had when we discussed and solved the problems of the day.He was a true friend and the love of your life and trust me he felt the same way about you. Dear Patty, I know that Ed was the Love of your life and you were his also.  Having worked with you both,  you were not only and inspiration but a joy to behold. I will never forget you both showing up for work together and listening to the next adventure you were going on.  Words can never express the condolences that are in my heart. Ed could always make us laugh even in times of understaffing,  codes and the daily challenges of working in the hospital,  that once was my family.He was rare and so is his family and do not ever forget that I am here if needed.  You will be missed brother and Patty,  my heart goes out to you and your family at this time of grief and sadness.
