Esther Maria Garcia

Born on November 10, 1931 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Rufina Vazquez and Victor Diaz. Esther worked many years as a paraprofessional in the NYC educational system. She served beside her late husband, Reverend Pedro Garcia in various ministry endeavors. She came to Spring Hill 23 years ago from Sebring, Florida. Esther was dedicated to her family, always kind and hospitable. She was a hard worker but also knew how to laugh and have fun. Her love of God and family was an example to all.

Esther is preceded by her husband, Pedro Garcia and her daughter, Nellie Garcia (married to Reverend David Garcia). She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Zenaida and Reverend Rafael Lozada of Bronx, New York, Nancy and Reverend Robert Brosher of Spring Hill, Florida, and Eileen Garcia. She also leaves behind several sisters and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Esther will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Merritt Funeral Home, 2 S. Lemon Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601 with Reverend Robert Brosher officiating. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Brooksville Cemetery, 1275 Olmes Road, Brooksville, FL 34601.
