Born November 27, 1924 in Waterford, Michigan, he came to Hudson 35 years ago. He was the proud owner and operator of Dixie Flowers for over 40 years and retired in 1983. He loved dancing, flowers, and growing plants. He became an Ordained Minister in 1964 at Christ Church of Light. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine. He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Lee Ballo; son and daughter-in-law: Michael & Cathy Monroe of Nesbit, Mississippi; daughter and son-in-law: Judith & Bruce Weislik of South Lyon, Michigan; sister: Gertrude Weil.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel.
