Jim was born in Pennsylvania but grew up in Delaware, where he enjoyed fishing and hunting near the Brandywine River. Mechanically inclined, he always serviced his own vehicles and tinkered with his prized old white truck and his vintage Ford tractors. Jim worked in his garden, sharing the bounty with pride and pleasure.
As a stucco contractor for most of his life, Jim owned and operated his own business for many decades: his work still stands throughout Hernando County. After retiring, he enjoyed a second, part-time career at General Auto Parts.
