Jennifer Louise Blackburn

BLACKBBURN, Jennifer Louise, passed away Tuesday October 18, 2016 due to cancer. She was born on October 2, 1972 in Palatka, FL and was raised in Spring Lake, FL. She was a graduate of Hernando High School and Pasco-Hernando Community College. Jennifer was an avid runner and walker. She loved her “kitty cats” and her little dog Mattie. She also loved her flowers. Jennifer was quiet and one would hardly know she was around. She was a Methodist and deeply religious. Over her bed was the word “BELIEVE.” We do not know why she left us so soon, but God always needs special angels. We are comforted knowing she will be watching over us. The family would like to thank Moffitt Cancer Center for her treatment, and to all the people who kept her in their thoughts and prayers. We are also grateful to Gulfside Hospice for her care.  Jennifer is survived by her father: Fred (Ginger); mother: Barbara; sister: Melissa; brother: Fred (Amy); step-sister: Michele (Brent); step-brother: Todd (JoAnn); her extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins.  Visitation for friends will be from 10-11am, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel where funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Gulfside Hospice.
