
FRAZIER, John Henry, age 88 of Brooksville died Sun., Aug. 7, 2005. He came here 21 years from his native Hartford City, IN. He was Vice President of Town Finance Corp., a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific as an Ensign and later as Lieutenant J.G. on the USS Zeilin and received the Bronze Star for bravery for his participation in the battle of Tarawa. He also commanded waves of landing boats in the battle of Kwajalein, Iwo Jima and Guam. Following the war, he continued his service in the Naval Reserve, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander.Preceded in death by his Wife, Evelyn.Survivors include his Son & Daughter-in-law: J. Mark & Brenda Frazier of Brooksville; Daughter & Son-in-law: Lynelle & Jack Edgemon of New Port Richey; Brother & Sister-in-law: Roger & Dolly Frazier of Hartford City, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Beth (Devin) Westbrook of Brooksville, Amy Edgemon of Deerfield Beach, Ryan Frazier of Tampa, Lauren & Evan Frazier both of Brooksville; Great Grandson: Ethan Westbrook of Brooksville.Visitation for friends will be 11-12:00pm, Tues., Aug. 9, 2005 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 12:00pm with Rev. David Garcia officiating.
