

John was born in Brooklyn, New York and came to the area 30 years ago. He was the owner of Marco's Pizza and loved to cook, especially authentic Italian pizza and homemade pasta. He also enjoyed bowling and previously became the former owner of Louie's Bowling Alley. John was larger than life and loved golf, sports, coaching youth baseball, being outdoors and especially playing cards and poker. He was so proud of his children, they meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Salvatore Peloro. He is survived by his wife, Rosaria Peloro; children, Maria and Johnny Peloro; his best furry friend Bentley, all of Brooksville, Florida; mother, Maria Peloro of Brooklyn, New York; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Bart and Vivian Peloro of Holmdel, New Jersey; sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Tina Peloro and Dr. Robert Pannullo of Manalapan, New Jersey.
John’s physical presence will be missed by his family and friends in both the US and Italy, though he will never be forgotten. His legendary stories will be celebrated for generations.
A Gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00pm, with a Wake Service at 6:30pm, Monday March 1, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
