He was born July 25, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio and came to the area 15 years ago from Grayson, Kentucky. He was a United States Army veteran, the owner of a bakery distribution company, and a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois J. Pfausassa; son and daughter-in-law, John & Diane Pfau of Grayson Kentucky; daughters, Donna Huisdas of Sicklerville New Jersey, Judy Andrews of Wake Forest North Carolina, and Heather Deconto of Chapel Hill North Carolina; stepdaughter and her husband, Phyllis & John Galbraith of Wichita, Kansas: sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
