He was a retired school teacher having taught at Spring Valley High School and Rockland County Community College in New York. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean Conflict Veteran, member and past treasurer of the Hernando Aero Modelers Club and was Christian by faith.Survivors include his Wife: Lillian; Son: Joe Grossman, Jr. of Port Richey, FL; Step-Son: Stephen Bolchazy of Spring Hill, FL; Daughters: Diane Smith of Hudson, FL, Georgianna Perez and Jodi Fletcher both of Port Richey, FL; Step-Daughter: Debra Wicke of Tomkins Cove, NY; 10 Grandchildren.Funeral Services will be conducted 10:30am, Fri., June 4, 2004 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel with Rev. Dale Schneidmiller of the Spring Hill First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Military services will follow at the Florida National Cemetery.
