Katherine M. Crawford

CRAWFORD, Katherine M., age 85 of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville. Born April 1,1936 in Bennington Vermont, Katherine spent her professional career in the secretarial field. She also spent years as a home maker raising her two children. Katherine was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, Spring Hill. Following her retirement, she assisted in raising her grandchildren and enjoyed her time with family and friends, having been an active member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Club, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion and New Hampshire Club. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Michael C. Crawford and brother, Thomas H. Ryan.

Katherine is survived by her companion, Edmond Van De Walle of Spring Hill; Son, Christopher M. Crawford of Spring Hill; Daughter and Future son-in-law, Kathleen Venturella and Walter Nutting of Myrtle Beach, SC; Sister, Martha Gillespie of Worcester, MA; Grandchildren: Mariah Fulkerson, Rhiannon Venturella, Delaney Postma, PFC Brendan Venturella, Tamara Obrien; and five great-grandchildren with another on the way.

Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 2-6pm will be a visitation open to everyone at Merritt funeral home, Spring Hill Chapel with a vigil being held at 5:00pm. 

Monday, November 1, 2021, at 10am will be the funeral mass at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, Spring Hill.

Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Monday, November 1, 2021. 

Memorial and celebration of life to follow burial service at the Moose Lodge located on Mariner Blvd, Spring Hill.
