VICKERS, Kenneth Burton, age 78 of Brooksville, FL died Friday, January 25, 2008 at his home. Born in Caruthersville, MO he came here 1 1/2 years ago from Hobe Sound, FL. He was a retired machinist working for Bell Helicopter in Texas and Martin/Marietta in Orlando, FL and managed several Standard Oil gas stations in the Elkhart, Indiana area. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include 3 Sons: Kenneth B. Vickers of Brooksville, FL, Gary Vickers of Wildwood, FL and Stephen Vickers of Hobe Sound, FL; Daughter: Vickie Slattery of Okeechobee, FL; 2 Brothers: Jerry Vickers of Kansas and Samuel Duckworth of Caruthersville, MO; 2 Sisters: Patricia Alexander of Worthville, KY and Jamie of Jackson, MS; 6 Grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville, Florida. Graveside funeral services will follow at 2:00pm, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
